Tadcaster Albion 2 Sheffield 2

Chester's first game of the season was due to be played today but had to be postponed because some of the players  have Covid. This follows on from one of the managers who has been seriously ill in hospital with Covid but is now on the mend.

This gave me the chance to visit another new ground and I took advantage by venturing out to Tadcaster to see them play Sheffield, the oldest football club in the world. The ground is in the shadow of John Smith's brewery so there was a strong smell of hops.

It wasn't a bad game with Tadcaster coming from 2-0 down to equalise in injury time. The main shot shows Tadcaster in yellow attacking the Sheffield goal.

The extra shows one of the attractions of non-league football
