Purple gladioli

Wanted to get a bit of work done in the garden but as I'm on a night shift didn't want to overdo it. Not sure that worked out as before I knew it four hours had passed! Dug out this root, the hardest part was fitting it in the wheelie bin.
Read my book for an hour before getting organised to leave. I had been asked if I could start at 6.30pm but I will get away at 7am so will be a quiet journey home. 
My favourite colour is purple so I'm enjoying watching these gladioli come out.
