Nibbled

Back in my own home now and after eventually falling asleep last night enjoyed my own bed.

Had a text early morning to say Rebecca and family had just got through the Channel Tunnel and we’re now heading towards Toulouse.
They will be joining friends in two adjoining houses  ( belonging to friend’s  family ) with a pool.
After a big supermarket shop they don’t intend leaving base much.
They hope to not have to stop, both Mike and Rebecca will take turns in driving, they have food for the journey too.

I have put a wash out to dry and done a quick garden tidy: dead heading  and some cutting back. 
The garden has suddenly gone over and is now past it’s best.
Cut some sweet peas but a lot have gone to seed.
Saw this butterfly and lamented how few l have seen this year.
So it’s my blip even though it’s a bit nibbled and so are the violas.
