The Avon at Welford

Going out for lunch today necessitated going over the weak bridge at Welford on Avon - a very pretty place with tasty lunches available.. They were very busy so service was a bit slow but the food was very good.  I was a bit disappointed when the bill came to find that they had charged me for my two glasses of soda water - most pubs don't charge for that when it comes out of a machine.  They did deduct the £2.20 after I queried the item.  It was a wiggly old pub and Dad found access a little difficult but we coped.

Welford is just upstream from Stratford on Avon but the river there is much more peaceful that its busy neighbour.  The extra is a guy going home up the river after a very tiring day - obviously.
