From Baptisms To A Dunking Booth

I would be willing to bet that most churches did not start their services today with several baptisms and finish their day with a fellowship for the whole church that included a dunking booth( until the thunder started) and a balloon artist who was amazing!  In between we lifted our voices in praise to God for all that He has done for us, we heard from the pastor search team the announcement we have eagerly anticipated and fervently prayed for, that they had found the man that they believe God has prepared to lead our church and he is coming to meet us and preach for us in view of a call in two weeks.  After that we were treated to a variety of testimonies from our youth and some of their adult leaders about their summer experiences at various camps and mission projects sharing the love of Jesus and teaching people about the amazing gift of a life given to Jesus.  When they finished sharing about their summer blessings, a young boy added to those blessings by giving his heart to Jesus.  After the service we celebrated all the blessings of the morning.  I would have liked more time  to get shots at the dunking booth, but the weather did not cooperate, so I got what pictures I could and then we came home,  exhausted and happy and my sweet husband made me a grilled cheese sandwich which is what sounded good to me----and it was!
