To infinity and beyond

Another busy day!
After breakfast Iz came round and we all chatted for a while, with Mx very keen to ‘help’ her open her birthday presents! Mt and I then took the kids to see a show…a storytelling session about Pippi Longstocking that included some craft activities too. AR loved the whole thing, although Mx was a bit lost in the story. We came back home via the bookshop and bought the first book in the Pippi series as well as a couple of You Choose books. AR couldn’t get over the fact that the pictures were the same as those they used in the show the other day.
After lunch we walked down to Dynamic Earth and had a great time in the planetarium (Mx was sure we were in a real rocket!) then also on the tour round the rest. Loved the Antarctic area with its huge block of ice and this 3D film, flying through different areas of the world looking at plants and animals in each. they were both amazed by the effects and delighted by the snow that drifted over us.
Walked home (another day with lots of exercise!) and did a quick swap of the cars before heading off for dinner with the Cochrane’s at La Favorita. Chaotic but fun, and AR and Mx love being with their ‘big cousins’.
Home, little ones straight to bed and we collapsed and watched some nonsense and looked through our photos.
