Roadmap Out Of Lockdown Step 4 - Day 29

Corston, near Bath

You know you’re at a country village post office when people turn up to post a letter on a tractor!

A quick visit to my favourite post office this morning, never a queue but always service with a smile. Then this afternoon two hours in the garden shovelling muck (earth brought up by mice in the greenhouse, numerous dollops of runny hedgehog poop on the lawn, and mountains of fermenting bird seed dropped from the feeders by fussy birds, probably the cause of the runny hodgeheg poop!). Cooler than yesterday at 17, but dry and sunny on and off.

Take care, stay safe and well...

PS Thank you for all your recent kind comments, stars and hearts. I keep thinking I’ll have the time and energy to reply individually, but it never seems to happen, sorry...

PPS Sid update for anyone interested - Found him asleep in the greenhouse at 7.45am, and on and off throughout the day. At one point he’d managed to sneak into the house and he was found on the bedroom windowsill! Phoned Cats Protection but they couldn’t help as Sid has a legal owner, they suggested I phoned the RSPCA. Phoned the RSPCA they couldn’t help either as “due to the pandemic” they’re only dealing with emergencies. Sid’s owner still hasn’t returned my text. Back to square one...
