Pollen gathering

The hover fly is a fortuitous addition to the vegetable component of my blip today. It is gathering pollen from an onion flower. Can't get much more vegie than that.

Today I went on the Two Valleys walk with The Other M. We did about 9km in gorgeous weather. A feature of this walk is a colony of grey-headed flying fox. I've been on this walk when they've been far lower down on the trees but not today so no bat portraits, unfortunately.

M and I appreciated all the great responses to yesterday's low key portrait of him. He seemed to take them as a personal compliment. :-))
