Nicky and her Nikon

After the rain

After the storm last night the clouds came down and this morning they were still very low, so we decided not to walk up any mountains today. While Tommy was working and Inca doing some studying for an upcoming exam, Gavin and I went for a walk into the village and along the river. The clouds lifted and it was blue skies again, but it was much cooler than it has been.

I made soup for lunch but Gavin was not feeling well with stomach cramps so he went to lie down - just to be sure he did a Covid lateral flow test but it was negative. Hopefully it's just a tummy bug. He was at the driving range later in the afternoon so he can't be feeling too bad ;)

Later in the afternoon Inca and I went for a walk, we walked from the apartment up a narrow valley next to a river and then at a certain point where there was a bridge crossed over and walked back down again, it was just over 2.5 hours. It was now sunny and bright and we got quite warm on our walk. Walking back we were in a beautiful meadow with many butterflies and flowers, I have added a collage of some of the things we saw.

When we are out walking you can almost think that Covid doesn't exist, it feels so far away from all the stress of living with it, it has been so pleasant. Everyone here wears masks indoors but other than that life feels quite normal.

Tonight Inca and Tommy are making supper so that is a treat - I am going to settle down with my book and relax.
