Or "Easter bunny". This is another type of cake that only appears around Easter. I managed to hold off eating it all day despite it smelling rather delicious. The chocolate smells particularly good.

2 years ago today I started my first proper German course. Blimey that feels like a long time ago. It's amazing to see how far I've come in that time and it's daunting to see how far I've got to go. There's definitely a difference in the way I think now, I'm permanently switched on to "how do I say that in German?" mode.

Work today was much, much better. It might have had a lot to do with Currywurst und Pommes (chips) for lunch. A good sausage for a change, decent curry sauce and a selection of ways to spice it up. Lecker, as we say here. It is not a sophisticated dish but it is about the only form of fast food that I would bother with.

Oh maybe Frikadellen as well. And if you don't like them then you can just enjoy saying the word. Something satisfying about that.
