Lives defined

A trip to the city for three of us as the forecast wasn't a happy one. We pootled
in and out of various shops, admiring and visually fingering many things. After essential lunch from the bakers we had a quick peep into the cathedral which is busy getting a new internal entrance area and was surprisingly noisy with a loud party trooping round. Not the usual peace to be found within its walls, sadly. But a little wander around the churchyard revealed reviews of past lives. This chap was a sea captain, others a carpenter, a joiner, a stationer.

We were out sampling whiskies in the Orkney Hotel this evening. I am a bit sozzled tbh ...
