Blazing verges

The crocosmia is blazing away as usual. Not my favourite, but given how gloomy it's been it certainly gives some sort of glow to the landscape. 

We had new friends over for coffee this morning.  Fortunately, the sofa cushions dried and we all had somewhere to sit and have a lengthy chat. They live south very close to our old stamping grounds so there's quite a lot of shared experience!

A bit of heavy gardening out the front, Pilates and packing for tomorrow for a weekend away to our daughter's, so plenty to be getting on with.
