Black Swallowtail on Thistle

My husband noticed that this one thistle, of many along the hedgerow, seems to attract more butterflies than the others. At one point, there were three black swallowtails, two tiger swallowtails, a skipper, and a bee, all on the same plant! 
This butterfly was on a mission. It let me set up my strobe and move it close.
