Onion flower with mosquito

I don't like mosquitoes. I believe that if I was amongst 1,000 people and there were one mozzie, it would find me and bite me.

I do however recognise the useful position mosquitoes occupy in the food chain. They pollinate plants and they are food for birds, reptiles and amphibians. The frogs, tadpoles and little fish in our pond eat them and their larvae, but there are plenty left to annoy us.

This mosquito and onion flower are in our garden. The Resident Gardener likes to cut the ends off spring onions and plant them but I enjoy the produce most for the flower. I could stare at an onion flower for a long time. It gives me great satisfaction.

Thanks for hosting BikerBear. Stay well all.
