Sweet

Not the weather, though. As had been forecast since early Saturday, the thunderstorms returned at 4:30 this morning. I was up Bliping!

A few days ago did a bee inspection after the tree had been removed which almost destroyed them. One hive is very strong the other very weak.  Regardless, this year has been dreadful for all beekeepers I know, and even in good years one has to feed them up in the late summer to get through the winter. Even back in WWII, German beekeepers were given extra rations of sugar for this purpose.

As I also need to treat them for Varroa mites, have started with a 7 kg block of sugar fondant for each hive. Today's look inside doesn't seem to show much has disappeared, but hope it speeds up soon.
