If you can't beat them...

By Jerra

Rain stopped play.

I made a start on nailing the shingles on the roof.  Before that there was a membrane had to be fastened over the roof.  It would seem the makers of the summer house believed in the belt and braces approach.  I would have expected the shingles properly applied to have been waterproof on their own.

Before I got very far it started to rain.  I stopped work because firstly I don't relish being soaked and secondly trapping water under the shingles didn't seem sensible.  So the blip is a desperation shot of the water forming droplets on the exposed membrane.
