Old Stone Cottage ...

... on the track down to the Arrow River.
It’s been a lovely warm Spring day and a great day to be outside. I must sow my Bush tomato seeds.

There’s been more criticism of our Govt’s pandemic response, this time from Australia’s PM. Last night Morrison likened New Zealand's continued focus on eliminating Covid with its highly contagious Delta strain to living in a cave and "absurd". He omitted to mention that the Tasman bubble between our countries had to cease because of the ballooning cases in NSW. It’s strange.

However there still isn’t good news about our Covid-19 cases, with another 62 today. It’s good for us in the South Island that there still aren’t any cases here but it’s hard on people up north. There’s a lot of hard work going on up there with the authorities, the contact tracers and essential workers. We’re grateful to them. Plus, the vaccination rates are increasing rapidly.
