Silver Pavilion

This is one of Kyoto's premier sights; everything a buddhist temple ought to be, set in the grounds of a beautifully landscaped Japanese garden... and yes, that is real crane, it flew in as we arrived and spent most of the time fishing off that stone :))

We were probably a fortnight too early to see the blossom but this meant that we avoided the crowds making the garden and pavilion as tranquil as was intended when it was originally built in 1482. Another lovely, lovely day :)) Have a very happy weekend blippers!

We think a happy life consists in tranquility of mind.
