Chasing Purple

The best display of heather in a few years and we've not seen a great deal of sunshine to reflect the colour at its best. Sadly, the blooms fade quickly away towards the end of August so I kicked myself out for a long, slow run around the top of the moor to make the most of it while it lasts. The sun appeared a few times but never when I had the camera out. But I shouldn't really complain.
