Table Top Sale aka Church Shop

"I declare the 2021 Table Top Sale / Church Shop open!"

The decision to call it a Table Top sale was to indicate it would be different to our well known annual Church Shop. Well, we're not selling furniture, the cafe is on limited provisions, we have wider aisles and a one way system, we're doing 4 days not 6, it's in August not May ... but otherwise it looks exactly like the church shop!

We opened at 10am today. I took this this evening. This is the large hall but doesn't show the stall below where I was standing on the stage. Our small hall is also packed with items. We had a steady stream of people through the day, never overcrowded. It felt as COVID safe as possible. 

It never ceases to amaze me how much we can raise here. In 2019 when we last opened we took £6,000 on the first day, a busy Saturday in May. Today, on a quiet opening Wednesday in the August holidays, when people are COVID anxious, we still managed to take £2,500!  Three days to go.
