Summer pudding

A frustrating morning! It started with an easily achievable list of things to do, but for various reasons I managed to do very few of them. Some painting in the hall in the afternoon - two door frames - before I had to down tools clean the paint brushes and get ready to go out.

MrM and I left just before 5.00pm for a meal at John C's. Nice to meet John's neighbour, Sean. Originally John had mentioned a simple meal of nice bread, good cheese and red wine, with an early start so we could eat outside while it was reasonably warm. But it turned in to a delicious substantial three-course dinner with wine, eaten indoors as the weather didn't match the forecast! Dessert was a lovely tangy summer pudding. The Blip doesn't do it justice!

Once a normal occurrence, it seemed quite strange to eat in someone else's house.
