DSNGRR Fire Train outing

Taking a walk this AM and across the river here comes the little diesel and its fire train. Never have seen this before!

This is a shot of an unusual train on the Durango Silverton Narrow Gauge Railroad - a fire fighting rig.  Not sure where it was going as thankfully there are no fires this year along the tracks. The new locomotives converted to oil made the difference.  I do prefer the coal smoke over the oil smoke, but it is not a bad compromise.  Use oil and don't have fires.
