Kiss Curl

One of the benefits of retirement and the easing of lockdown is that I can go visiting places on the spur of the moment. Today’s promise of calm warm weather saw me heading to Greys Court with its gardens and estate walks. As one of the first places in England where red kites were released a part of what has become a successful reintroduction of the species, there is also a chance to see them flying. Sadly today was not one of those days. Still the gardens were looking splendid, though there were signs that Autumn is only just round the corner.

Deep in the countryside in Oxfordshire is not the most likely place for a minimalist composition as set by Ingeborg for today’s Abstract Thursday challenge.  Hopefully this abstract of the centre of a large daisy-like flower, with its little kiss curl, is abstract enough!
