First Day Of Spring ??

It may technically be spring, but someone forgot to tell winter to pack its bags and clear off .........

I've set myself a challenge this week - I'm using a 50mm prime lens, manual focussing, metering with an external light meter ( actually an iPhone app ), and have turned off the preview screen on the 5D. Having no gadgetry working away inside the camera has forced me to slow down and consider my shots, just like in the old days when film processing cost a fortune. Whether or not it'll improve the quality of my shots is anybody's guess, but I'm having great fun - I actually feel like a photographer ! !
