Lockdown reading

This is my current book, lent to me by my daughter. It’s not my usual style but of interest. It is written by a teacher, critic and reader who revels in the details of life. It says on the back cover ‘ in life’s disasters and delights, the details are what we can share and compare and carry with us’. Rather fitting after the recent loss of our friend Grange. Last night after the memorial I was absolutely exhausted. Today has been quiet, reading and cutting back (yet another) hedge. This one is staying but needs a good haircut.

Sometimes I think Blipfoto is a bit like the book, the small details of our lives which create who we are.
