Prickly Pair?!

The rain has finally arrived this afternoon - a night off from plant watering is always a bonus!

But a lovely sunny morning and that was perfect timing for the local horticultural society open day at their hut/shop - not having been able to host the seasonal shows for the past 18 months, this was the first chance for some of the members to show off some of their flowers, veggies and creative makes, and it was nice to see quite a few displays put out!  This one made me smile! Can't think why!!

Had a lovely cup of tea and slice of coffee cake while we were there, had a few goes on the tombola - won nothing boo hiss, but was given some sweets as a consolation! - and bought 2 more plants!!

also caught up with  a neighbour on the way home for a natter as we'd not seen them for quite some time - life keeps getting in the way! So the plan now is to catch up on some reading and watch Southend United on the TV! One bonus of now being non-league is more tv coverage!!
