Day Twelve of Level Four Lockdown…. 83 new cases of COVID-19 today…all but one in the Auckland area, one in Wellington. Thus a total of 511 cases in this outbreak. A worrying number are hospitalized with some patients in Intensive Care Units. We wish each of them a speedy recovery. Son Duncan had his first vaccination yesterday. A relief. Please, please everyone…. If you haven’t done so… get vaccinated.
Very early this morning, in the dark, in the drizzling rain, I came across this Kowhai bush while out walking with Maisie. The first of its vivid yellow flowers were peeping out amongst the rain-drenched greenery.
