After the Kyna.

Not the pie tray

A modified fete this year, much needed after 2020 cancellation as it is a major fund raiser for the 3 churches that have been melded into this parish.
My limited stamina levels mean that I won’t be able to do one of the tasks I was dragooned into doing a couple of times.
Think a cinema ice cream tray, but larger, strong straps to put it round the neck and then fill it with meat pies (very good they were) go round and round and round the fete persuading everyone/anyone to buy a pie at 50p each. Regular fete goers knew the standard of the pies so sold out quickly. Back to the kitchen to collect more, prepared by the kitchen angels.
I found it very tiring and was glad to finish while the bar was still open, wolfing down the last pie accompanied by a pint a Guinness
