Ana in Her Monte

Invited for supper, with Cecílio and Ermelinda at Ana's monte - the family's rural house that was never slept in (though it has a bedroom), but where they'd all stay in the summer while bringing in the harvest; she has a lovely house in town as well. Now her Dad has died and her Mum stays mostly in their Lisbon home, so she's doing this place up, but keeping the traditional character of it. She put the cigar she was smoking down when I took this, shame, thought it looked good.

Gratefuls:
- our eldest, Debbie, turning 34 today, the one who made me a Mum and suffered my over zealous attempts to be a good one (got more relaxed, or tired maybe, as I went on), grateful to at least chat with her, even if can't be with her
- Ana, she's such a beautiful person
- standing on top of her house, identifying the stars, the Milky Way arching clearly over us
