A Beautiful Day!

The day started, as do most days in the camper van, with a delicious moka coffee (extra). Then I took a brief swim in the sea. I won't pretend it was warm, but it wasn't breath-takingly cold either.
We had a long walk together and then returned for some lunch. It was definitely an Italian lunch. Cooked by an Italian, eaten in the warm sun and with a picnic table-cloth, and including wine. We took a rest after lunch, gathering our strength for dinner, eaten at the local restaurant, which will close for winter after this week-end!
This final Saturday in August is time for a relatively new tradition when people living or staying along the coast light outdoor candles along the coast. It marks the "end of summer". In some places rockets and fireworks are involved.  It looked lovely once it was dark, both around this jetty with all the candles, and into the distance where others created pin-pricks of light along the coast.
The wind had completely died away and when the half-moon rose in the east, over those trees in my picture, it left a trail of light across the water. When we looked south there was a really bright "star" in the sky (Jupiter I think) and even that threw a path of light across the sea. I have never seen that before; it was almost as if there were two moons in the sky!
We shared our overnight place with around 12 other campers, two tents, and one hammock camper. Obviously a popular weekend to be out, especially with weather like this!
