Family day

An end of the day blip in the garden: clematis 'Little Lemons', a dwarf tangutica variety. A small splash of colour, with the fluffy seedheads already forming.
Luca was up a lot last night, leaving Ruth and Josh exhausted. So we looked after Luca and Eben in the morning, while they rested a bit.
Then Jack, Marianna and Frieda came over for lunch, and Josh and Ruth too. The first time we've all been together since mid-July. Richard prepared chicken, potato salad, green salad. Ruth made a dairy-free clafoutis with mulberries from the tree that I planted about 35 years ago; it's in its prime. A lovely day.
