Day 14 Level 4 Lockdown ……

…… and still 14 more days to go!  Encouragingly, though, the number of new cases today was 49, the lowest in six days.  We live in hope.
We had thunder, lightning, extremely strong winds and heavy rain last night, so much so that there was severe flooding and damage in west Auckland. Some people have lost everything, and have to deal with the clean up in the midst of a Level 4 lockdown. So sad.
Hubby and I went out for a short walk today, only 6kms.  The wind was bracing and, at times, made it difficult to walk.  It certainly cleared the head.  We spotted the main Blip on a plot of land that is being prepared for building. One would hope that, before building actually starts (probably when we’re down to Level 3), some doors are added to the construction. It could be rather embarrassing otherwise.
The extra is of a lovely new daffodil with several flowers on one stalk that has recently opened, and a beautiful white tulip, the only one we’ve had so far.
