Pedal Faster - He's Gaining!

A nice stroll this morning down from the Purton Hulks to Sharpness Marina; about six or seven kilometres of easy level walking. The light was very poor - the temperature has dropped several degrees and there's a northeasterly wind and a low cloud layer.

The Purton Hulks, which I intended to feature, were overgrown with tall grasses and generally not very photogenic - better in the winter or spring - and so it was this pair of narrowboats passing the remaining bridge supports of the old Severn Railway Crossing that made the blip. Even then I've had to push the sky quite a bit to get any definition in it.

The narrowboats were both tied up on the canal back as we walked past, the helmsmen sharing a cup of tea and a sandwich before moving on. I was hopeful they were going to race each other, and perhaps they did, but at 6mph who could tell...?
