STILL TRYING…

Today is the first day of meteorological autumn, and Wilson has settled down with all his money-boxes and loose change, taken out his adding machine and settled down to calculate his gross worth.
I am sorry (but unsurprised) to report that he is still not a millionaire, despite his best endeavours.
He has vowed to continue doing his utmost to attain millionaire-hood, so I'm expecting yet more hare-brained moneymaking schemes, investment shakedowns and get-rich-quick projects in the future.
In deference to Wilson's innate good nature, I am a bit reluctant to describe them as 'scams', although…
