Second day of Spring!

Really MUST be viewed LARGE to get the effect of the weather

The snow arrived today - and I took a trip down to Borrowdale, where in places it was drifting to 2 - 3' deep. These sheep were huddled together to avoid the wind, sheltering behind this dry stone wall. The force of the wind had blown snow through the gaps of the wall, as you can see in the picture, and whilst I was taking this the snow was being blown over the wall (see in the background).

Took over 200 shots in the snow today - it was wonderful, even if the wind was strong, the wind chill high and the temperatures freezing. A few hundred yards further on, I found a lady camping, whose tent had collapsed, and she was sleeping in her car. I offered her assistance, but she was happy - and the camp site owner knew her predicament!
