Red Dragonfly

Warm today and dry although quite cloudy. We walked along from Nashington Farm, though Leg of Mutton Wood, (saw pigs and cows but no sheep!) past Ivy Cottage and Starkey Castle back to Rochester. Lovely to look down on Woulden Church from the ridge and to walk along the River Medway. Pleased to have seen these red dragonflies along the path - it’s the first red ones I’ve seen this year.
Perhaps it’s a common darter? Perhaps somebody knows
My sister made a damson, plum and apricot clafoutis-of foraged and garden picked fruit- I’m looking forward to it
Thank you for your kind responses to my Brown Argus butterflies yesterday
