A Rum Do

Onward! To Rum, and a decent sail across with a couple of tacks until the wind fell away and the engine went on. Into Loch Scresort and onto their lovely big mooring buoys before venturing ashore. Kinloch Castle is closed with fences around the windows but you can squeeze behind them and press your nose to the stained glass and just marvel…
Later, ashore again to Kim’s Kitchen where we were the only diners. There was one item on the menu. Venison lasagne. She butchers her own venison she did tell us. To accompany the meal I bought a bottle of wine from the shop next door - vegan wine, it proudly proclaimed itself. I didn’t ask Kim about her vegan options.
Tell you something though, although the wind had dropped, Loch Scresort is an uncomfortable bloody place. Bounce bounce bounce. I need a bigger boat.
