Autumnal

Difficult to believe that it's already September - the year is flying by. There was a definite chill in the air this morning, and many of the plants in the 'yard are suddenly looking very autumnal. The leaves of this meadow cranesbill are turning red. Much as I love the seasonal colours, Autumn is my least favourite season as it heralds the coming of long, dark evenings.

Another day of painting. It's taken ages, but the primer/undercoat is on all the wooden parts of the walls. Time to catch up with a little admin. and do some household stuff now, and then - hopefully - a relaxing hour before bed.
