Letting go

A full-on day!

A trip to Cornhill first thing, to deliver the office cupboards to their new owner. She's going to store her jams and preserves in them through the winter.

Home with an hour to spare before heading round to Jacqui's for a coffee and to cut her lawn. We enjoyed a coffee sitting in her garden, but then spent the next 90 minutes helping her to compose an email to a rather dodgy-sounding company. It seems that of their reps called in to see J a couple of weeks ago and pressured her in to signing up for something she neither wants nor needs. Whether she'll ever get the money back remains to be seen.

Some of the afternoon was spent cleaning the box containing the K'NEX (a construction toy), and sorting through the contents - over 1500 pieces - to remove old elastic bands that have lost their elasticity, and several odd things that shouldn't have been in the box. The K'NEX used to belong to my daughter, and it's the one toy I've hung on to since she left home, in the vague hope that it may be enjoyed by future generations. But neither T nor L want me to keep it any longer, so it's time to let go, and tomorrow it will be advertised for sale.

Yoga this evening, with some much-needed relaxation at the end of the session!
