CannyScot's Day

Dunottar Castle

A glorious day

The last stage in our journey and a visit to Dunottar Castle. There are lots of steep stairs to climb but it is well worth the effort. Everything is beautifully presented and carefully maintained.

It is a ruined Castle which goes back to the 1300’s but a lot of it is in recognisable shape. The sea views are outstanding, especially as the weather was glorious.

I took so many photos but I had to choose one. This photo is of one of the kitchens. I will be making albums of the last few days and I will give links over the next few days.

We arrived home safely, truly thankful for great weather, great accommodation and safe travel over 1100 miles, with some fantastic scenery. Scotland is hard to beat as a destination, especially in good weather.
