Last Ginger Bloom
The cats let me sleep. Until I woke at 8. Inordinately kind of them.
I let them out, and then went to prepare their breakfast. The kittens can hear a tin opening from anywhere. Within 5 seconds both were in from the garden and doing their Desperation Dance in the kitchen. They really believe they'll never get another meal, and their appetites are huge. They polish off their breakfasts in about 90 seconds, never a scrap left in the bowl. They even check each other's bowls for anything left over - there never is.
Munni on the other hand, eats a bit (while I watch), and then goes off to Munni somewhere. I swoop in and snag her bowl before the little vultures can fall on it. The bowl has to be covered, and put somewhere where they can't get it.
Munni knows that when she comes to me, I'll fetch her breakfast and she can eat a bit more in my office with the door shut.
And we all get to repeat the pantomime in about 40 minutes.
