Here there and everywhere

New Work Station

At long last our front room is usable again.  It's only taken a year for us to get round to doing it!  The furniture is a bit of a mish mash with items from all over, but the same could be said for our whole house.  We bought the wooden chest in Edinburgh before we got married. The cream leather seat next to it is from Sao Paulo.  The paintings on the wall are from Budapest, painted by an American artist. There are still a few things to do, but it's possible to work in it or sit down and read or listen to music.  Or snooze!  No tv of course now as we got rid of that last week.  Next job is to put all the things we want to keep back up in the attic again.  At the moment they're in the hall and we'll put them back up with the help of our next-door neighbours' son.  This won't take a year!

I worked in here today and it was nice to have the connection to the outside world on our passageway.  I'm amazed how many people walk through it, although I wish fewer people wouldn't use it as a place to walk their dogs.  There's a dog park literally 3 mins away. Some people do pick up their dog's business, but others don't.  How difficult can it be and it's part of the responsibility of being a dog owner.
