The World of Glass

We took the girls to the world of glass today.  In St. Helens.  It’s a fascinating place!   First we watched a demonstration of how to make a bowl!  It was a bit long for our 4yo but the rest of us were fascinated by it!  I’ve been many times and watched many demonstrations but never tire if them!  Then the film about glass etc.from there straight to the snack area for a lunch.  This used to be a great place for good wholesome food.  Such a pity it’s been downgraded! But what we had was good! Then it was over the bridge to the old factory where they blew the glass and swung it to make huge cylinders that were cut and flattened to make small windows etc. extra.
The girls loved the tunnels for the warm air!  Finally after an exhibition of the work of some children’s book illustrators we went round the actual museum part!

Home and must produce a meal! Why must they like different foods!

Edit:  I fell asleep and Ro came up trumps with sausage, mash and baked beans!  Both ate loads and milk jelly and blackberries straight from the garden!
