The Beast

I do like Black Prince, even if it does look a bit of a beast in comparison to the other steam engines. G and I walked from Sheringham Park to Weybourne station and back this morning. We left early to try to avoid the inevitable crowds at Weybourne Station as it's the Autumn Steam Gala this weekend. I love to see a number of steam trains running over a short time period. I thought I'd try different treatments, so please see extras too. Otherwise washing, gardening and admin were the order of the day, and now it's tennis.

Day 536 / Day 47 of Step 4 of Roadmap Easing (for my record only)
England's R no. has fallen slightly to between 0.9 and 1.1, with a daily growth rate of -2% to +2%. The weekly ONS infection survey in private households shows 1 in 70 with the virus in Eng (unchanged), 1 in 75 in Scotland (up), 1 in 110 in Wales (up slightly) and 1 in 65 in NI (down). The JCVI has not recommended the jab for healthy children between 12 and 15 on health grounds alone. It has, however, advised the Govt to look at 'wider issues' such as the impact on schooling and has also widened those eligible due to underlying health conditions. The UK's 4 CMOs will advise further following this assessment. New daily cases are back over 40k. The EU and AZ have finally settled their row over a shortfall in supply of the vaccine. The UK is to send 4m doses of the Pfizer vaccine to Australia and will get the same number back later in the year.
