Stones of Stenness

Another wonderful day weather-wise, and another dilemma as to which photo to use as my main picture ...

... we went over to the Ring of Brodgar, which was looking stunning (see extra) but I preferred the snap I got of the nearby Stones of Stenness - the 12metre high slabs are really something to behold!

Also went along to Maeshowe - the actual chamber is closed, but the visitor centre put on an excellent guide-led talk. Been most impressed with Historic Environment Scotland throughout our whole trip :-)
