Making an Entrance...

Just for a change, the sun strutted upon the stage this morning clad in brilliant colour, accompanied by an entourage of clouds to heighten the dramatic effect. We have been a bit disappointed in the pale and dull sunrise offerings of recent days, but today we were treated to a pop of colour. A welcome dash of pink and warm gold.. 

The sun was not the only one"making an entrance" today... a monster fish started its day out with a splash as well!  While we were out photographing the sunrise, this fish jumped out of the water in front of us several times..We usually see a couple of fish jumping at that time of morning, but this guy was persistent..He kept it up, and on one of those jumps, I actually saw him..his huge body was only half out of the water and even then, he was a monstrous size! Massive! He must be a wily fellow to have eluded capture all these years; there are always folks out there trolling, so it is hard to imagine that he has not been tempted to bite at one time or another...I hope he continues to be careful, but I would advise him to cut back on this morning leaping as he is advertising his presence! But, give him credit, he jumps only at sunrise, before the fisher folks are out..

So, the morning was special..which is really a good thing as we only have two more mornings here before heading back home. Blips will be a bit more challenging to find there! No stepping out the door to a sunrise!
