Lace and pompoms

After taking several photos of hydrangeas in our garden - some with pompom heads, some lace heads - and of mixed colours, I've reached the conclusion that it's impossible to take a bad photo of these beautiful flowers. This made choosing one photo very difficult. I ended up picking a lace head, with a mixture of fully-opened petals and buds. My Extra shows some big round heads from another hydrangea bush on the other side of the garden, where most flowers have appeared without much colour, where others are bright blues and pinks. Strange!

It's been a dreary, grey day, though mild. I understand it's been sunny elsewhere in the UK today. Still, I've enjoyed starting a new jigsaw, which I'm loving.
