Chicken in a basket

What a day to be introduced to your new home. Its snowed all day and our two new hens have seldom ventured out of the run into the garden. They are a dark and leopard Sussex. I think they will be called Isabel and Mabel. Both are 17 weeks old and look tiny compared to Betty, Daphne and Doris (RIP Peggy - the white one). Hopefully over the next few weeks they will settle in and become two of the gang. No doubt some squawks and feather ruffling before then!
