Tree reflections...

Backblipped 06.09.21

When the bamboo was being removed from the garden last week I noticed how much the trees (Portuguese Laurels) on the opposite side had grown.  I blipped them through the window from the pool shower room in January 2020 so I thought an updated shot would be fun.  So there it is!  lol  They have definitely grown and are fulfilling their destiny, which was to provide screening of the pool wall.

Another lovely day.

Best friends Agnes and Adrian came up in the afternoon.  After coffee and cake David and Adrian headed off to play golf and Agnes and I topped up the teapot and had a good old blether.

In non-covid years, the four of us had begun an annual tradition of having a three day, pre Christmas break staying at the Moness resort in Aberfeldy. We had hoped to return last December but Covid put paid to that.

In a recent conversation about the chances of getting away this year, we all expressed the desire to try and get away for longer, five days maybe or even better, a week.  I'd also thought (but hadn't shared my thoughts) that maybe we could look for something a little more luxurious (the little lodge we stay in at Moness is absolutely fine but quite basic.  Since we were planning to stay longer, I had a notion for something cosier, in a more rural location with great views) so I had a quick google search before Agnes and Adrian arrived and hit the jackpot with the first link!

Discussed it with Agnes and showed her the property I had found and she was as enthusiastic as me so I booked it!  A wee surprise for the guys when they returned from the golf!  Thankfully they were happy with the change of location too, so we will be heading HERE for a week in December.  Even better that Agnes' birthday falls whilst we're away.  Oh and Lola is coming too as the lodge is dog friendly and there are plenty of great walks in the surrounding area.  Agnes and Adrian are dog lovers and miss having a dog, so they're really looking forward to walking with Lola :-)

Dinner followed with more chat including a conversation about wills and the increasing trend of not having a funeral!  Hahahaha...oh how our conversations have changed throughout the years!  Seems like only yesterday we were discussing 21st birthdays! :-)))
