Anne's Daily Encounters

By dutchdelight

Listen...

I tell you it rained and that means the Season changed!

in the extra you see the sea a little wilder too

Made a short walk into the Venetian harbour of Chania this morning and payed my respects to Greece's great composer Mikis Theodorakis at a registar.

And meanwhile in the news here:
His daughter Margarita is seen as crazy by many Greeks now. She's  opposed her father's last will to be burried with his ancestors here in Galatas / Chania. She's lost two courtcases in the past days to have his burrial her way... Her papa Mikis Theodorakis, had foreseen her fights and assured that his testimony is clear cut with date and signature and advocate... He'll be burried here on Crete on Thursday coming at the family grave in Galatas.
He could not help that his daughter had his body taken out from the simple coffin without religious symbols as he'd pre-ordered and she had him rebundeld in a shining posh coffin with an obvious Greek Orthodox cross on it... Such a dramatic scene developped over his funeral; unheard off by me.
